The St. Andrews Woman's Club gives back to the community through our charitable fundraisers and volunteering. The Community Service Programs are responsible for one of the month’s meetings. Each committee presents a speaker who relates to their program and hosts the refreshments. They meet throughout the year to decide on projects and programs. While giving back to the community members enjoy fun and fellowship.
Members attend GFWC-SC and GFWC meetings during the year to learn more about leadership, volunteering, and charitable projects that other clubs in other states are doing. These meetings are very informative and friendships are made that last a lifetime. It is amazing to hear all the wonderful projects these women do to provide community service. The St. Andrews Woman's Club is proud to be a part of this wonderful organization.
At the end of the club year members attend the GFWC-SC State Convention to celebrate all the projects the clubs have done throughout the state. Then SAWC has its own celebration in May to celebrate the club’s accomplishments and install the new officers.
Proceeds*from fundraisers have benefited the following charities in recent years: Sharing God's Love, The All-Inclusive Playground “Leo’s Landing” at *Saluda Shoals, three scholarships for underserved students at local organizations, blankets for March of Dimes, support for Habitat for Humanity, PAALS, food banks, KIVA and the “Turning for Tomorrow” pinwheel project.
