GFWC-SC Headquarters
Sims-Stackhouse Mansion

1511 Laurel St.
Columbia, SC 29201
(803) 252-6756

The mansion, which is a Columbia landmark, was built in 1853. It is a popular tourist attraction when showcased by Historic Columbia during tours of the city. T.B. Stackhouse bequeathed the house for use as GFWC-SC headquarters. His wife, Eunice Ford Stackhouse, generously supported South Carolina's colleges and women's clubs. Today, GFWC-SC uses it for its headquarters, meetings, and club-related social events. Club members and outside groups may also reserve the mansion for special functions.
